Unblock a transformation
The Thinking Fix Diagnostic
Stuck Projects are very frustrating
A stuck change project ─ one that feels like pushing mud uphill ─ is the most frequent reason why you might need a Thinking Fix.
At face value the project looks fine ─ it is aligned with the strategy, it is resourced, it has sponsorship, the right tools are deployed ─ but it is stuck, or going way too slowly. The problem is usually that thinking and behaviours are not working.
A Thinking Fix is a rapid, powerful way to unblock projects
A Thinking Fix Diagnostic will identify which Thinking Patterns are acting as a block to progress. And a Thinking Fix will convert these patterns from a drag on progress to boosters of success. This quick and powerful review avoids becoming a witch hunt because it focuses on how Thinking Patterns are affecting progress.
The approach assumes that the people involved are incentivised to do the right thing. There is no such thing as a bad Thinking Pattern ─ instead it looks for misdirected patterns. Once people can see how patterns are being counter-productive they can rapidly fix them.
The Thinking Fix is a proven approach
Full disclosure, the ‘Thinking Fix’ is new take on an old approach. It reflects the development of a powerful methodology based on decades of experience. I already knew from this experience what works, now I have a methodology to pass that insight to others.
Kieran Sheedy has done this before
As a Partner in KPMG and UK Head of Consulting for CSC (now DXC) I have directly led large transformation programmes in international companies, and I have acted as mentor to other Change Directors doing the same thing. That is how I learned that the most likely underlying issue in a stuck project is the people. And it is the way people are thinking that is usually the problem. There may be additional problems with skills and incentives, but you can’t fix those until the thinking is right.
See if a Thinking Fix might work
- Why not have a chat?
- No obligation. Invest 15 mins of your time to establish if your project is stuck because of under-the-radar, messed-up thinking patterns.
- Check if there is an easier solution than you expected
- Have a look at the articles and tools on the Navidus Consulting website ─ feel free to download and use anything that might help.
- Maybe get yourself a copy of The Thinking Fix (published by Pearson Business in Autumn 2026) There might be enough in there to solve your problem.
- In any case, I’m happy to talk. You can secure a slot in my diary here.
