Navidus
The name Navidus comes from the concept of the pilot who boards a ship to guide it through the shoals and narrows of a new port, and who disembarks when the job is done.
The captain knows the ship and the ultimate destination; the crew know their jobs. The pilot brings specific knowledge of the straits they are in.
